             Chareonsri (Sri) Srisangnam, Ph.D.

Dr. Srisangnam (Sri) worked at the University of Minnesota for three years conducting research in food toxicology. She earned a B.S. in food science from Kasetsart University in Thailand. She traveled to the United States where she obtained an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Science from Utah State University. At Spectrum Fruits, Dr. Srisangnam manages all the aspects of business in Southeast Asia.


             Vinod Padhye, Ph.D., MBA

Dr. Vinod received his B.Sc. (with honours) in Chemistry and B.Sc. (Tech.), M.Sc. (Tech.) in Food Technology from the University of Bombay (Mumbai). He was awarded a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Sciences from Utah State University. He has also completed an executive MBA with honours from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Dr. Padhye worked at General Mills for 15 years, focusing on technology-based new product development in fruits, vegetables and grains. At Spectrum Fruits, Dr. Padhye manages all business in the Americas, Europe and India. His responsibilities include R&D and technical support to processors and customers.


The Young Scientist Roundtable (YSR)was established in 1992 to send a message to children that science is fun and science is for everyone! Dr. Padhye founded Young Scientist Roundtable as a parent volunteer at his sons’ school in 1992. This non-profit organization has been operating continuously since then, introducing K-12 students to working scientists in an effort to increase the knowledge and love of science. He is ably supported by Charlene Barghini, Leslie Hanson & Loni Gradick; all science enthusiasts and passionate about promoting science at an early age.

In the past 25 years, YSR has helped thousands of students in and around the Twin Cities in recognizing that science can be applied to better our lives, and that science makes for a great career opportunity! In doing so, the YSR has played an actively supportive role to the schools in the Twin Cities by taking science to students in a fun-filled, inspirational environment, through highly qualified, motivated and illustrious scientists, researchers and professors. The YSR is committed to enabling school students to develop a sustainable interest in science and its applications.
